Welcome to the sea-side town of Port Folio!

Ok, so there isn't a town called Port Folio, or is there? Welome to my portfolio! Explore my various projects. This is a compilation of projects I worked on before and during enrollment in SAIT's Web Developer program. Please note, some links are active websites.

GRAPHICS & IMAGES

Illustrator

This was my first time using Illustrator. This assignment was completed in SAIT's Web Developer program. The scope of the assignment was introduce the students to branding by creating a logo and corporate identity book. Click on the images below to access the corporate identity book document in PDF.

Photoshop

I've used Photoshop before, having manipulated photos and images for humorous purposes for friends. The Photoshop course in the Web Developer program was the first time I've received any training with the software. Below is a simple postcard for Fort Steele Heritage Town, using one of my own photos from 2006. Click on the image to see a larger version.

SOCIAL MEDIA

Over the past three years, I've been volunteering with two local organizations, serving on their social media crews.

Calgary Comic & Entertainment Expo

2015 was the first time the Expo had a social media crew. I was lucky enough to be the first one assigned to the crew. This was the first time getting my feet wet in the world of tweets, retweets, likes, and shares. It was this experience that piqued my interest in digital marketing.

Beakerhead

I've been volunteering with Beakerhead for the past couple years. In 2015, I served as the control room lead. From 2014's event to 2015, there was a 664.15% increase in social media impressions (2014 - 5.3 million, 2015 - 40.5 million). In 2015 I was asked to co-lead the social media crew, and have accepted the position for 2017 as well.

PHOTOGRAPHY

I confess, I'm not a trained photographer. I do not own a fancy, expensive DSLR. But I do enjoy photography. Hopefully one day I'll be able to afford some decent equipment. The following is a sample of photos I tooks with simple point-and-shoot cameras.
